Andrew Neill

He was Chairman of the Elgar Society from 1992-2008 and is Vice Chairman of the Society. He is currently Chairman of the Richard Strauss Society, a member of the Advisory Board of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Vice-Chairman of Putney Music. He is also Secretary of the Kennedy Award for the Singing of Strauss. He has written extensively about 19th and 20th century music, contributed programme notes for the London Philharmonic and other orchestras and booklet notes for several record companies. Andrew has contributed to BBC and Australian radio programmes and is the author of ‘It’s the only wish I’ve got’ — the story of the Elgar Birthplace and a contributor to anthologies on the music of Elgar.
