jacksonCarl Jackson (21 November)

Director of Music at the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court since 1996, Carl Jackson studied at Downing College Cambridge where he studied with Peter Hurford, Goldsmiths’ College and the Royal Academy of Music. He has taught at Kingston Grammar School, St Paul’s Girls’ School and Croydon’s Whitgift School. He now teaches at King’s College School, Wimbledon.

In his role at the Chapel Royal, he has been responsible for many premieres, including that of Praise Him with trumpets by the Master of the Queen’s Music, Judith Weir, who delighted Putney Music members and guests last season.
